August 11, 2010 marked the passing of a great in the Guinea
Pig world. Sally Marie Winkler, age 73, passed away in a hospital in Austin, Texas. Sally was a well known cavy judge and
breeder. She held many offices in the cavy associations she was involved with over the years. She was also one of the founders
of the Lone Star Cavy Club. Sally judged her last show with us in 2009 and we so enjoyed her. When Sally judged she enjoyed
each and every pig that crossed her table. Her knowledge and excitement of the cavy will be greatly missed. Her friendship
to many was cherished.
