Sally Marie Winkler
Sally Marie Winkler, 73, of Roger, TX died Wednesday, August 11, in an Austin hospital. She
is survived by three sisters, Ruth Hall of Franklin, IN, Mary Jo Limp of Nashville, IN, and Jane Smith of Columbus, IN. Also her long time best friends Mary & Garth Haslam .
Her lifelong interest was in breeding and showing guinea
pigs. She was a licensed cavy judge for 28 years and judged internationally in both the U.S. and Canada
. Sally served in most officer and board positions in local Cavy clubs where she lived in Texas
& Colorado.. . Sally was a past president of the American
Cavy Breeders Association . With her medical background as a Registered
Nurse, she became a nationally known guinea pig medical expert and was always willing to share that medical knowledge,
skill and experience. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
